About Dr. Williams
A native New Yorker, Dr. Williams is thrilled to return to Yale to join the School of Medicine faculty and bring her expertise to the tri-state community. Previously, she was a partner at Hand Surgery Associates in Denver, Colorado, where she was named a Top Doctor by 5280 magazine. She has served as a team physician for Division I athletes in Minnesota and Connecticut and has numerous publications and has spoken nationally on upper extremity topics.
Dr. Williams is passionate about her work. She enjoys all areas of upper extremity surgery from hand to shoulder. She stays up-to-date on the latest in the field so she can offer patients the most cutting edge treatments available. She believes in combining her expertise and technical skills with a patient-centered approach. The relationships she builds with her patients are one of the most rewarding aspects of her job. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, she believes in working with each patient to understand their unique needs and goals and to formulate the best treatment plan for them.
In her free time, Dr. Williams spends time with her husband, two children and her dog, Lila. She enjoys hiking, fitness, reading novels, listening to music, and indulging her ice cream habit at creameries near and far. She has recently been working on a series of drawings and watercolors that illustrate in new ways some of the more clinically relevant aspects of hand anatomy.
